James Brinsfield
James Brinsfield was brave enough to have a solo exhibition of his work of only the second exhibition of the Kansas City version of JNG in 1998. Entitled "True North", the show included large paintings and related small paintings on paper investigating, in part, the "grid". (Note the farthest away painting on the wall at right is "Hubbub" included in his 2018 retrospective at JNG).
